Asuka Vows To Cut IYO SKY Out Of Her Life For Good; Becky Lynch Meets A Sol Snatcher

The Raw before Backlash entered into one final confrontation between Asuka and IYO SKY. Backlash takes place this Saturday, May 9, and Asuka and SKY will finally go one-on-one. A final sit down between the two aired and the tension was so thick that it ended with Asuka blinding SKY with the mist.

SKY: “ASUKA. No, ASUKA-san. I have avoided this fight for years. You know this. You are exactly what you say you are. My senpai. My mentor. I looked up to you. I loved you. Yet despite everything you have done to me, I still have the ultimate respect for you.”

ASUKA: “Once again, you continue your disrespect. The IYO I taught is no longer in front of me! The person sitting here, who are you? I don’t know anyone this disrespectful. Who are you? This IYO is my biggest disappointment! Do you know how I feel?

I’m done with IYO SKY. At Backlash, I’m gonna cut you out of my life for good.”

The end of the segment had both women come very close to each other face-to-face only for Asuka to spray the mist in SKY’s face. Adam Pearce rushed in to get Asuka to leave and called for medical to come help SKY.

Elsewhere on Raw, Sol Ruca officially became a Raw Superstar with a contract signing, no thanks to the Women’s IC Champion, Becky Lynch. As Ruca was making her way to the ring, Maxxine Dupri was seen once again in the background talking to Austin Theory.

Lynch quickly interrupted Ruca as she tells Pearce that she was told by her very reliable sources that the time Ruca was taking was supposed to be her time. After several words were exchanged, including Ruca calling Lynch a rude big headed bitch, Lynch went to punch Ruca but hit Pearce instead.

Ruca would end the segment with a Sol Snatcher to Lynch.

The Judgment Day continues to prove that they are a family.

The Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan wasn’t happy when she had to find out on Netflix that Finna Balor snuck into the Judgment Day Clubhouse and spoke with Roxanne Perez last week. Perez assured Morgan that she is with the Judgment Day 100% as she told Balor to leave the clubhouse and never come back. She does say she should have told Morgan, however.

Moments later during a match between Balor and JD McDonagh, Morgan passed the time keeper’s hammer to Perez and distracted the referee. This allowed for Perez to hit Balor with it and cost him the match.

In a backstage segment a bit later, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria confronted the Judgment Day. Raquel Rodriguez invited Paige and Brie Bella to Raw to challenge them for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Bayley and Valkyria said that the Judgment Day can’t win without cheating, but Morgan thinks of it as family having each others backs.
