AZM is the new NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion as she has dethroned Mercedes Moné. Moné is now one belt lighter as her days as champion ends at 313 days. This match took place at the NJPW Resurgence event on Friday and was a Three Way, which also included Mina Shirakawa.
The final moments of the match had each opponent trading pin attempts as Moné found herself on the outside. AZM rolled up Shirakawa to get the win. Moné was left fuming.
Bea Priestley also made her first return to the ring following her 90 day non compete from her WWE release. It was on the pre show where she was victorious against Viva Van.
