Former AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné has been on hiatus from the promotion since the end of 2025. She has since worked indie promotions in other countries. In March, Moné stated that she would be returning to AEW soon, but she hasn’t yet.
When Fightful Select questioned a return for Moné, they were told:
Moné is still under AEW contract, and is planned for a return to the company
Her involvement will have major ramifications for the top of the card in AEW. Expect her return relatively soon. A date was not given.
There are fan speculations that Moné may be the wildcard entry in the Owen Hart Cup that takes place on June 3’s episode of Dynamite. The wildcard entry will be facing Alex Windsor.
