History was made yet again at Super ShowDown. For the first time ever, a women’s championship was defended in Saudi Arabia. This match was headlined as Bayley never beating Naomi one-on-one. This is one success she hasn’t been able to check off of in her highly decorated career. That is – until today when she successfully defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Naomi tried many moves in her arsenal to put away the former Hugger, but ultimately with Bayley’s antics, she was able to retain her title. The bout culminated with Naomi attempting her split leg
The champion then applied a submission to her challenger and used Naomi’s shirt and placed it over her (Naomi’s) foot to trap her. Bayley would then face plant her into the mat and get the pin to retain. Below Bayley speaks about how special it was for the fans of Saudi Arabia to see her perform.
