Bayley has been out of action now for just about a year.
Her last match took place on the June 25 episode of SmackDown in a mixed tag match alongside Seth Rollins. They took on Bianca Belair & Cesaro and came out with a victory after Bayley pinned Belair.
Bayley was set to face Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title in July at Money in the Bank. The match was set as an “I Quit” match and would have likely been the end of their feud. However, the match never took place.
On July 9, it was confirmed that Bayley suffered an injury and would be out for nine months. Her injury was to her ACL which required surgery and it happened during training at the WWE Performance Center.
Yesterday, Bayley posted on her social media a photo of her ring boots which can be seen below. This wouldn’t be the first time Bayley has teased her return, but the post got fans talking again.
Fans have been hoping for a Bayley return since the start of the year. At that time it would have been less than nine months and was just a hope that she would come back in January in the Royal Rumble match. Now it is past nine months and hopefully, she will return shortly.
In March as WrestleMania was approaching, PWInsider stated that her return to regular television programming would come after WrestleMania.
Bayley has not wrestled in front of a live crowd since before the pandemic in March 2020.
