Bayley vs. Lyra Ends In A Draw; Kairi Sane Coming For Gold

This week’s Raw ramps up the build for Evolution as the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title is being contested by both Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. The champion, Becky Lynch, retained last week against Bayley after Valkyria caused a DQ finish. Bayley took this personal, even though she has had a friendship with Valkyria.

After a backstage exchange of words between Bayley and Valkyria turned into a shouting match, Adam Pearce had them settle it in the ring. However, it hasn’t quite been settled.

The match in question was declared a draw (double pin). An exchange between pins led to both women having their shoulders down for a three count. The official declared the match a draw before the two would brawl out to the roadcases on the other side of the barricade. They had to be pulled apart by officials and Adam Pearce.

Although not confirmed, a Triple Threat at Evolution is obviously the goal and perhaps a stipulation based on the fight post match.

Kairi Sane had a vignette air. In it, the Pirate Princess says she is a former NXT Women’s Champion and a Two-Time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She warns ALL the champions that she is here for the gold.

Roxanne Perez is the newest member of the Judgment Day after an anonymous, yet hesitant vote. She will take Liv’s spot as champion with Raquel and they will defend them at Evolution in a Fatal Four Way. One team from Raw, one from SmackDown, and one from NXT will be included. Perez vows to take out Kairi Sane first.

Chad Gable confirmed his injury and is leaving it up to the rest of American Made to excel in his absence. This includes Ivy Nile taking care of Stephanie Vaquer.

IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley has been made for Evolution for the Women’s World Title. More on that here.

In addition to the women’s tag team Fatal Four Way, a Battle Royal was confirmed. The winner will head to Clash in Paris.
