Not a whole lot took place for the women’s division on the May 25 episode of Raw. However, here’s what we know heading into Clash in Italy this weekend.
Sol Ruca was confirmed to be sidelined with an injury coming out of the short match against Becky Lynch at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The type of injury wasn’t confirmed, but her match against Lynch for the Women’s IC Title this weekend at Clash in Italy is still on. Lynch was interviewed backstage.
Lynch says some people get punched in the face and they become the face of the industry, meanwhile others do and it is a wake up call that they are in over their head. She says that Ruca hasn’t had a clean victory since arriving and het name is currently written in the sand and the tide is about to come in. Lynch says her name is etched in stone and will be around forever, much like she will hold the title forever.
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria took on Judgment Day…again. The Women’s World Champion, who hasn’t had a defense since winning it at WrestleMania, was ejected from ringside again…and Bayley and Valkyria pick up a win.
After Morgan was ejected from ringside, Dominik Mysterio tried to be the one to secure the win for the Judgment Day as he passed his AAA Mega Champion belt to Roxanne Perez. However, a tug of war with the belt between Perez and Bayley ensued. Eventually Perez got the belt but she knocked Mysterio off the apron with it. Bayley stacked up Perez for the win.
Apparently, later on an interview with Bayley and Valkyria took place. It would have been nice to see it, but WWE and Netflix love putting this stuff on during commercials. Anyway, the duo stated that they weren’t going to stop until they become tag team champions and are moving past the Judgment Day.
They also mentioned about the Queen of the Ring tournament, but that was cut off because, well, Netflix.
