Liv Morgan, in fact, did not retire Becky Lynch and now Lynch and Lyra Valkyria are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Valkyria is now known as Lyra2Belts as she is also the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
The Man has returned to WWE at WrestleMania 41 as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner. Bayley was the original partner of Valkyria, but she was taken out prior to Saturday’s WrestleMania event. It is unknown at this time who took Bayley out.
The crowd gave a huge reaction to Lynch’s return, while Morgan and Rodriguez were not happy about it. The last time we saw Lynch, she had lost the Women’s World Title to Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring and then lost her rematch in a steel cage match on the Raw following.
The final moments of the tag team match had Valkyria take Rodriguez out on the outside with a tornado DDT. This led to Lynch catching Morgan in a ManHandle Slam to get the pin and the titles.
This is the second time Lynch has held the tag team gold, the first was with Lita. This was Valkyria’s debut match at WrestleMania and her first time winning the tag team titles. Morgan and Rodriguez’s reign ends at 55 days.
