Next week’s episode of RAW will host the Royal Rumble rematch of Becky Lynch vs. Asuka with the RAW Women’s Championship on the line.
Asuka defeated Natalya in a hard-hitting match on this week’s show and immediately got on the microphone and challenged Becky Lynch to a rematch.
Since defeating Asuka at Royal Rumble and collecting her one outstanding “debt” Becky Lynch has been on a high, even claiming that the victory gave her “superpowers”. Lynch would accept Asuka’s challenge claiming that there would be nothing better than beating the Empress of Tomorrow one more time.
The title match coming so close to WrestleMania is certainly interesting as there is no clear direction for the RAW Women’s Championship despite the rumours that Becky Lynch is scheduled to face Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36. Could we be in for a major swerve heading into WrestleMania and see Asuka capture the title next week?
