More and more continues to be revealed during the new season of WWE Unreal, now available on Netflix.
It was certainly suggested that The Bella Twins were planned to reunite sometime last year. Nikki Bella returned to the company to start 2025, and had been used frequently throughout the year. However, her sister Brie, has not made a return. According to the documentary, the plan of the twins reuniting was halted by Liv Morgan’s injury.
Morgan injured her shoulder in a match against Kairi Sane in May. She returned in November after missing a chunk of calendar time including both Evolution and SummerSlam. Morgan was slated to take on Nikki at Evolution and the twins would have reunited to face Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at SummerSlam. The titles would have likely been on the line as Judgment Day held the tag team gold upon Morgan’s injury. Roxanne Perez took over as champion for Morgan when she joined the Judgment Day.
Rodriguez and Perez did defend the titles at SummerSlam against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Flair and Bliss won the titles.
