On last week’s episode of Raw, the show closed out with Bayley challenging the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at Extreme Rules. Now, on the Sept. 26 episode of Raw, just under two weeks from the event, the bout is officially confirmed as a Ladder Match. This will be the second women’s match confirmed for the event as Liv Morgan will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey in an Extreme Rules match.
Kicking off Raw was Belair along with Alexa Bliss and Asuka as backup for Damage CTRL who would eventually make their way to the ring. Bayley stresses that Belair was only able to do what she has done since she has been champion because Bayley herself was out with an injury. Bayley reminds Belair that she is the first person to pin her in over 300-days at Clash at the Castle.
Belair reminisces the last time that the two were in a ring together one-on-one and that was at the 2021 Hell in a Cell when Belair smashed Bayley’s back into a ladder. This made Bayley think of the stipulation for their upcoming Extreme Rules match and the two will collide with ladders.
Directly after this announcement, Belair faced IYO SKY in the advertised match on the night. The two champions had a nice match of decent length before Belair delivered the KOD to get the pin and the victory.
