Sol Ruca may have her next opponent for the NXT Women’s North American Title. Ruca has not defended the title since early August against Tatum Paxley. It seems that Blake Monroe is stepping up for the challenge.
On the Oct. 7 episode of NXT, Monroe approached Ruca and Zaria. This took place after Team NXT defeated Team TNA. Ruca was one of the two remaining women for her team alongside the NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne. Zaria was feeling some type of way after not being on Team NXT, but Ruca was reassuring her that they would become the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Monroe approached ZaRuca and tried to continue to drive the wedge in between them. She said Ruca is holding Zaria back and compared her to Jordynne Grace, calling her greedy. Zaria said she wasn’t falling for it and that Monroe is just attempting to get her hands on the gold that Ruca has. Monroe says she is only interested in the Women’s North American Title, not necessarily the Women’s Speed Title as Ruca is a double champ.
A match between Ruca and Monroe has not been set at the time of this writing. Halloween Havoc is the next NXT premium live event on Oct. 25.
