WWE Grand Slam Champion Sasha Banks is set to miss the Royal Rumble due to an injury suffered at a live event on January 2nd.
WWE announced the news via social media stating:
BREAKING: @SashaBanksWWE is expected to be out of action for 6-8 weeks after suffering a foot injury Sunday evening at a WWE Live! event in Fayetteville, NC.
However, WWE has now disclosed that although nothing is broken Banks suffered a bruised calcaneus bone in her foot and will now miss several weeks of action including the Royal Rumble, which takes place in St Louis, Missouri on January 29th.
Surprisingly Banks has only competed in one Royal Rumble match. In 2018, Banks was the first entrant in the history-making event and lasted nearly an hour before being eliminated by the Bella Twins.
The Boss was last on television during the December 17th edition of SmackDown in a tag team match with Toni Storm against Flair and Shotzi.
All at Diva Dirt wish Sasha Banks a safe and speedy recovery and can’t to see her back in the ring soon.
