AEW has announced that Britt Baker will take on the newest signee Kris Statlander next week on Dynamite. This match will determine the number one contender for Riho’s Women’s World Championship.
Baker was last seen in a one-on-one match against Hikaru Shida in a losing effort. Statlander also last faced Shida but in what many would call an upset she picked up a huge win.
Shida and Baker have both seen the top of AEW’s Power Rankings since its inception. At the moment Shida is at the top so her not being involved in this number one contender bout is a little disheartening.
Prior to Statlander getting her hands on Baker, she will be facing Bea Priestley on AEW Dark.
