The show, which kicked off NXT’s first trip to the northeast, had been much-hyped in its lead-up, its sell-out prompting the WWE to add a second show at Philadelphia’s Tower Theater.
Sasha won the match, forcing Charlotte to tap out to the Bank Statement. She tweeted about the moment, posting a fan’s photo of her and Charlotte squaring off:

Triple H also celebrated the moment, tweeting a video of the action using the #GiveDivasAChance hashtag:

This marks a huge moment for the Divas, as it demonstrates NXT’s faith in the women to effectively close a show.
NXT will run two more events in the next two days: another Philadelphia event tomorrow night and a Saturday show in Albany, New York.
Congratulations to Charlotte and Sasha!
