Cheerleader Melissa To Be Inducted Into Indie Wrestling Hall Of Fame

Cheerleader Melissa has been announced as an inductee into the next class of the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame. This news was confirmed by Game Changer Wrestling and she will be inducted by Dave Prazak (Shimmer founder) on April 2 in a ceremony.

Melissa has had a lengthy career in the indies and had also worked for TNA/IMPACT under the name Raisha Saeed. She was known as Mariposa on Lucha Underground.

She started her career in 1999 and has won many championships throught many promotions (including SHIMMER). In 2013 when the Pro Wrestling Illustrated list of top female talent was only a list of 50, she topped it in the number one spot. Mickie James was number two that year.

The inaugural class of the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame took place in 2022. That class had LuFisto as its first woman inductee.

Melissa has not wrestled since 2019.
