Since CM Punk’s return to WWE, there has been more hope by fans that we may see a return of former Divas Champion AJ Lee. Unless this is an April Fools joke, Punk is now stating that will likely not happen.
In a new interview that is on-going at the time of this writing, Punk is speaking with Ariel Helwani of the MMA Hour. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is providing updates of the interview on his social media. One in particular was Punk giving the statement regarding Lee.
Speaking of Lee, on March 30 marked nine years since she retired from in-ring competition. Her last match was a six diva tag team match where she teamed up with Naomi and Paige to defeat Natalya and The Bella Twins.
