Hola a todos and welcome to the CMLL review!
Last Sunday to celebrate Father’s Day, we had the first-ever Copa Herederas tournament. The participants were second-generation wrestlers, including Sanely (daughter of Mano Negra). Lluvia (daughter of Sangre Chicana), Skadi (daughter of Marcela), La Jarochita (daughter of El Imperial), La Magnifica (daughter of Gran Cochisse), Olympia and Hera (daughters of El Valiente), and India Sioux (daughter of Hombre Bala and India Sioux)
First there was a battle royal; the first four women to get eliminated would be a part of Team B and would face the other four women of Team A in an eight-woman elimination match. The last woman standing will be the winner of the first-ever Copa Herederas tournament.
The match was a lengthy and strong showing for all the participants involved; they all got their time to shine and to make their family proud. You can watch the match on YouTube for free now!
Post-match, in a backstage segment, Sanely gifted her Herederas 2025 trophy to her father, Mano Negra, as a Father’s Day gift.
Last Tuesday night, in the first crossover show of the week, the ROH Women’s World Television Champion, Red Velvet, returned to La Arena México to face the breakout star of the CMLL, Persephone.
The match opened the show, and as soon as the match started, Velvet got the heat from the crowd that constantly booed her while trying to overcome Perse’s power. Red did her best but still was unable to win, leaving things uncooked and getting pinned by Persephone after a powerbomb. Both women will compete once again in different matches later this week.
This will be it for now; let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
