Just days removed from No Mercy, NXT was back at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, for its September 30, 2025 episode. The atmosphere felt tense after a wild week: TNA vs. NXT chaos sparked a huge brawl on last Tuesday’s show, Ricky Saints dethroned Oba Femi to become the new NXT Champion, and Jacy Jayne managed to escape Lola Vice to keep her Women’s Title reign alive. With Showdown looming, the brand wars dominated nearly every segment of the night.
The evening opened with Ricky Saints soaking in the spotlight as NXT Champion. His brief, babyface promo about “betting on yourself” was cut short by Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who was quick to remind him that TNA isn’t exactly knocking politely at NXT’s door. Ava stepped in to make the stakes clear: both Saints and Jayne will serve as captains for their respective teams in the upcoming brand clash.
Not to be outdone, Santino Marella appointed Mike Santana as his men’s captain and Kelani Jordan as his women’s captain for TNA’s side, calling this a “showdown, not an invasion.” Marella’s insistence on the word choice was cute, but everyone watching knew better.
Jaida Parker vs. Lash Legend
The first bout of the night gave us Jaida Parker against Lash Legend, a pairing that promised power vs. grit. Lash opened hot, cornering Jaida with shoulders and dropping her with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall. She even managed to bully Jaida around ringside, ramming her into the apron and barrier.
Jaida, though, showed off her toughness. A Samoan drop on the floor shifted momentum, and she targeted Lash’s back with repeated strikes and rollups. Inside the ring, she chained offense together: a blockbuster, flying shoulder tackle, and hip attack nearly sealed it.
Lash rallied with a uranage backbreaker and a bicycle kick that almost decapitated Jaida, but Parker refused to stay down. When Lash went for the Lash Extension, Jaida countered beautifully with an arm drag, then nailed a running hip attack for the hard-fought win.
Winner: Jaida Parker
Backstage, Jacy Jayne played general manager with her roster options. She eyed Jaida as a candidate after that victory and even acknowledged Sol Ruca as a “winner” despite personal friction. Lola Vice made her case directly, offering to put differences aside for the sake of victory, while Fallon Henley staked her own claim. Jayne, clearly overwhelmed, decided to pit Fallon against Lola for the final team spot.
Lola Vice vs. Fallon Henley: Team NXT Qualifying Match
This one was all about earning Jacy’s trust. The early exchanges saw Lola chaining quick rollups before trapping Fallon in an armbar. Fallon powered out with a sliding German suplex and flying hair takedown for two. She pressed her advantage with forearms and corner offense, but Lola’s striking background kept her in it.
A barrage of kicks and a crisp belly-to-back suplex shifted momentum back to Vice. Fallon nearly stole it by tripping Lola on the apron, but a nasty spinning back fist from Lola ended the debate.
Winner: Lola Vice
Backstage, Fallon wasn’t happy, accusing Jacy of throwing her into the fire. Lainey Reid arrived to stir the pot further, casting doubt on loyalties with ominous warnings about “who really belongs.” If Jayne wanted a stress-free night, this wasn’t it.
Chaos took center stage once again as both rosters clashed around ringside. Ava hyped Showdown as “historic,” rolling out marquee matches: Mustafa Ali vs. Ethan Page for the North American Title, and The Hardys vs. DarkState in a Title vs. Title bout.
The men’s teams were revealed: NXT with Saints, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Borne; TNA countering with Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater.
For the women, Jayne leaned into confidence bordering on arrogance, picking Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice to stand by her side. Kelani Jordan fired back with Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee, and Mara Sade, an IIconic mix of experience and hungry edge
The night closed with fists flying everywhere and Shawn Michaels walking out to survey the chaos, grinning gleefully.
Next week! NXT vs TNA 4v4 Elimination Match
Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca Jaida Parker & Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan, Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee & Mara Sade
This week’s NXT was all about drawing battle lines. Jaida Parker’s big win, Lola Vice muscling her way onto the team, and Jacy Jayne holding court as captain gave the women’s division a strong spotlight. With Showdown days away, every choice feels like a gamble and the bigger question is who will stand tall when the dust clears.
