DD Power 15: June 18 to June 24

Ranking #15 – Maxxine Dupri

Last Week – N/A

If you ask people about some of the recurring storylines involving women in WWE at the moment, the list might not seem very long but the recurring saga involving Maxxine and Alpha Academy is one that keeps people tuning in.

Originally the manager of Maximum Male Models, Maxxine has jumped ship to follow Otis to Alpha Academy and this has brought her in to the firing path of Valhalla.

Maxxine has been training with Chad Gable and each week getting more and more physical, this week hitting a stunning suplex on Valhalla on the outside of the ring. Without an official match under her belt, Maxxine still garners reaction from the crowd who are eager to see how her training has progressed.

Ranking #14 – Meta-Four

Last Week – N/A

It finally happened. Not only did Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson finally escape LvL Up as a duo but they secured themselves an important victory over Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz.

The duo are members of the stable Meta-Four and are not shy about getting involved in matches on behalf of their stablemates but it’s great to see them involved in the women’s division and securing victories like this.

Ranking #13 – Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

Last Week – N/A

The KC’s picked up their first win on the main roster by putting away Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green on RAW.

We previously saw the pair put up a valiant effort against Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler but came up short, this week they would attempt to fight off the bad attitudes of Green/Deville which they did by landing the After Party and celebrating in the ring.

This week across RAW, Smackdown and NXT, the women’s tag division got some decent screen time with less ‘thrown together’ teams and more unity and cohesion through impressive tag manoeuvres and matching gear. As impressive all teams looked, the KC’s have got to be near the front of the queue for a future tag team title shot.

Ranking #12 – Cora Jade

Last Week – N/A

In a match that stirred up some debate online, Cora Jade would defeat Dana Brooke due to referee stoppage this week on NXT.

Jade has not been happy with Brooke’s return to NXT ever since the No.1 Contenders Battle Royal and last week, Brooke would cost Jade her match against Thea Hail.

At one point, Brooke was being taken out of the match but she refused to give up and continued on. Sensing the weakness, Jade would relentlessly attack the leg and forced the referee to end the match to protect Brooke.

Ranking #11 – Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly

Last Week – N/A

It seems to be a tag team heavy week for women’s wrestling this week but that isn’t a bad thing as both WWE and Impact have added some depth to their divisions.

The Knockouts Tag Team champions were represented by Taylor Wilde taking on Killer Kelly in singles action with KiLynn King of course playing her role outside throughout the match.

Kelly would get the victory despite the numbers game, prompting The Coven to exact revenge which brought out Kelly’s long time rival Masha Slamovich!

Slamovich would make the save for Kelly and the duo would beat away The Coven and it seems a new alliance has been born!
