Deonna Purrazzo accepts Mickie James’ invitation to NWA Empowerrr

Mickie James entered the Impact Zone on this week’s IMPACT!

She came to fix some tension between her and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo and to extend an invitation to NWA Empowerrr once again.

At Slammiversary over the weekend, James returned to IMPACT programming and provided an invitation to Purrazzo for Empowerrr explaining she wants the best at the upcoming event. Purrazzo didn’t take highly of James picking that moment to ask when she had just retained her title against Thunder Rosa. Things got physical which prompted Gail Kim to ask James to return to this week’s show to clear the air.

This week, Purrazzo still wasn’t sold on James’ intent for inviting her to Empowerrr. It wasn’t until Gail Kim made her way out and played mediator that Purrazzo started to consider. Kim made notice that Purrazzo still didn’t say no to the invite. The Knockouts Champion then shook the hand of James to make it official.

Also at Empowerrr, James has announced the NWA Women’s Tag Team Titles will be returning and the Women’s Invitational will take place. The two competitors so far for the invitational are Tootie Lynn and Jamie Senegal.
