Deonna Purrazzo and Mickie James will be meeting at Bound for Glory on Oct. 23 with the Knockouts Title on the line but they are not waiting until then to continue laying hands on one another. A rivalry that started once James showed back up in the IMPACT Zone to invite Purrazzo to NWA EmPowerrr, the two have kept their eyes on one another.
Purrazzo attacked James after her in-ring return at NWA73 and since then the two have had brawls in the IMPACT ring as tensions are higher than ever. Now, we have taken the fight to Mickie’s home turf where Purrazzo showed up at her barn to duke it out.
The Knockouts went at it with everything from a pitchfork to a garden hose and it ended with Deonna trying to drown Mickie in a bucket of water before the segment came to an end.
With Bound for Glory still three weeks away what else are we going to see between these two before they get in the ring?
The Influence became the number one contenders for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. They will get their title match at Knockouts Knockdown on Oct. 9 against the champions Decay. Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne earned this shot by defeating Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace. Rayne got the pin on Ellering after a tag team move faceplanted her to the mat.
There is a new championship announced on this week’s IMPACT. Although not specifically said to involve the Knockouts, they were shown in the promo. This leads to the belief that this will be an inter-gender title. It is named the IMPACT Digital Media Championship and according to PWInsider – “the belt is expected to be built somehow around the company’s digital media and IMPACT+ streaming service.” A tournament is about to kick off for it and the first champion will be crowned at Bound for Glory.
