Discussion Post: IMPACT! Slammiversary 07.18.20

IMPACT’s flagship PPV event Slammiversary takes place tonight. The show has gone through a few changes with the firing of Tessa Blanchard but offers up two very exciting matches. The first is the Knockouts Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo. The second is the eleven women Number One Contender Gauntlet Match.

Number One Contender Gauntlet Match

The eleven women competing for a chance to become number one contender for the Knockouts Championship are Alisha Edwards vs. Havok vs. Kiera Hogan vs. Kimber Lee vs. Kylie Rae vs. Nevaeh vs. Madison Rayne vs. Rosemary vs. Susie vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Taya Valkyrie.

The match up just shows how stacked IMPACT’s women’s roster is. The array of talent in the match is fantastic and proves to be a very difficult match to call. Each and every competitor could walk away as the victor and number one contender for the Knockout’s Championship. But one thing is for sure we are in for treat tonight.

Knockouts Championship

The match between Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace and challenger Deonna Purrazzo is certainly one to look out for.

This match will be Grace’s sixth title defence and she will be hoping that it goes the same way as the previous five. But a competitor such as Purrazzo offers up a whole array of challenges for Grace. Purrazzo is an experienced wrestler with a penchant for tieing her opponents up in all kinds of submissions. But Grace’s impressive strength and power should be able to counter any hold that Purrazzo will attempt to synch in.

Deonna Purrazzo wasted little time in making an impact in IMPACT! by getting in the face of Jordynne Grace. Grace though is certainly not one to mess with and she will not let the Knockouts Championship leave her grasp without a fierce fight. Expect a very intense and back and forth match between two highly competitive and accomplished fighters.

What match are you looking forward to the most and who are your picks to leave the show a winners? Let us know in the comments below and feel free to sound off throughout the show.
