Another SummerSlam has come and gone. That means another opportunity to try and turn the event into Wrestlemania 2.0… of course without a chance to see the Divas compete.
However, we did get to see the lovely ladies of the WWE grace the red carpet for the annual red carpet kickoff party! Now, for those of you who have seen a WWE red carpet before it’s not like other red carpets.
In this week’s Diva Couture, I’ve decided to survey who were the best and worst dressed of the event. This is a fair warning, I may not be so kind. I love these women just like everyone else on here, but fashion just isn’t where it’s at for some of them. Let’s begin. Remember, these are just my personal opinions.
Wait, what? I’m not really sure what Eve’s going for here but it looks like she went a little crazy with the Bedazzler. If I remember correctly, she wore something similar around WrestleMania (please don’t be the same outfit). I’m not a fan of this dress at all. Honestly, it looks like she just picked it up from DEB, that prom dress store in run down malls. She’s arguably the most beautiful Diva on the roster, so she should be wearing something bold and sexy to match her demeanor.
This is a really sexy outfit. I absolutely love the way it looks a little revealing. There’s just one problem. This isn’t a dress for Kelly Kelly. Maryse? Yes. Kelly? NO! Kelly should have gone with something a little more girl next door instead of trying to being ultra sexy. Eve would have made this look work so much better, from the hair to the shoes. Girls, swap outfits!
Well, at least the dress matches her personality. I would have liked to see the shoes match up a little bit more but we can’t win them all. Alicia always looks great on red carpets, I love the way she wore her hair. I think the bottom of the dress would have looked a little better if it wasn’t a tutu. We’re not in ballet, sweetie.
Love the coat. It looks just like the one I suggested on the last Diva Couture. Love the outfit actually, but AJ, you’re not in character! This isn’t Raw! Get red carpet ready!
I absolutely love Layla’s dress. I wish more of the girls would go for that longer dress look. Was anyone else getting major Angelina Jolie vibes from Layla in this outfit? I’m glad she decided to go for a classier look and not just try to be ultra sexy. I’ve got to say, the hair has got to go. This look would have looked so much better with an up-do or at least a weave that isn’t the length of your leg.
I always get really excited to see what Natalya will wear to a red carpet event. I have to say, this wasn’t her best. It kind of looks like she covered herself in glue and rolled through a stack of coins. I think something light pink would have suited Nattie better.
I gasped when I saw this. Not in a good way. It looks more like she’s going to a barbeque or something. I think something a little less colorful for this event would have worked. Those shoes hurt my eyes.
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with Kaitlyn. After seeing her ring gear last week, I didn’t have high hopes for her outfit at this event. I was shocked. The color, the cut…everything is perfect. Well done, you definitely look amazing.
Now, onto the winners… and sort of winners:
Biggest miss: Lilian Garcia (Runner up: AJ Lee)
Biggest hit: Layla (Runner up: Kaitlyn)
Layla is truly the winner of the event. It’s a red carpet event. Hate to say it, but she’s the only one who really dressed in a red carpet dress. The girls all looked great in their own way, but a lot more of them looked like they were going clubbing than to a red carpet event. Way to go, Lay!
Who was your biggest hit and miss? Tell me in the comments!
