The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will finally have owners of the belts after being vacated in May.
A tournament has been underway for the past several weeks since after SummerSlam and we are down to two teams vying to win the gold. Tonight, Aug. 29 on Raw, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai will be taking on Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah.
In a report by Fightful Select, early Raw notes indicated the feel for how the championships will be represented tonight. As of Sunday, there was set to be a lot of “pomp and circumstance” surrounding the titles. Those that Fightful followed up with say that they wanted to make it seem as important as they could.
It is also rumored that this match will take place in the main event. This has not been confirmed by WWE at this time.
