We continue with the TNA Knockouts TV Championship tournament, as we finish up the last of the first round matches on TNA Impact!
First, Gia Miller is backstage with the TNA Knockouts World Champion, Xia Brookside. The champ is not impressed with this tournament one bit and touts herself as the best Knockout in the division. However, she has a problem with Elayna Black because Black claims she’s the best in the division. Brookside says she’s gonna keep a close eye on the match coming up.
To kick off the action, Black takes on NXT’s Wendy Choo in the first round of the TV tournament. These two have crossed paths once before, but this time it’s TNA Knockout vs. NXT Superstar. The two show a test of strength, but Black looks to show off a bit. Both spill to the outside as Black batters Choo as a “welcome to TNA.”
Choo starts firing back and hits a hard lariat on Black. Black gets caught up in the corner, and Choo hits a hard DDT, only for a two-count.
Both head up top rope, and Choo lands a Superplex with Black on the receiving end. Unfortunately, the match exceeded the 10-minute time limit, eliminating them both from the Knockouts TV Title tournament. Both want to keep fighting, but Brookside stops that from happening.
Despite the setback, both Black and Choo show a sign of respect. With this result, M By Elegance now gets a bye and advances to the semi-finals.
“The Spark” Jada Stone takes on The System’s Alisha Edwards in a first-round match of the Knockouts TV Title tournament.
Both get in each other’s face, and Stone’s athleticism gets the best of Edwards early on. Edwards retreats to the outside and gets knocked onto her husband, Eddie Edwards. Stone hits a crossbody right onto Mr. Edwards, but loses her eyes on the prize for just a second.
Edwards is in control of Stone, but Stone finds some fight back as she hits a Split-Legged Moonsault for a two-count. Stone’s eyes get raked, and Edwards hits the Delish for a near fall. Stone looks to finish off Edwards, but gets tripped up by Edwards’ husband. She perseveres, and Stone rolls up Edwards to advance. Post-match, Edwards is irate and starts attacking her, but ends up retreating as Stone fights back.
