The first-ever NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament is coming and it will start in two weeks on the May 10 episode.
NXT has delivered two prior breakout tournaments for the men but this will be the first one to feature the women. Its purpose is to debut new faces onto the brand from the WWE Performance Center. In 2021, Carmelo Hayes won the men’s tournament and would eventually go on to become NXT North American Champion.
The first name confirmed will be the debuting Arianna Grace (Bianca Carelli). Earlier today, it was reported that Arianna Grace would become the new WWE ring name for the second-generation superstar. A quick vignette aired to promote her debut in the tournament.
Kiana James was the second name confirmed for the tournament. James, who has gone by the name Kayla Inlay has had a handful of matches since debuting on the Feb. 1 episode of NXT against Sarray. She is still looking to pick up her first win. She says she is bringing sophistication into the competition.
Sloane Jacobs is the third name confirmed. At just 19yo she wants to become the youngest NXT Women’s Champion in history. Jacobs has had two matches since signing with WWE and much like Kiana James, she will be looking for her first win.
Diva Dirt will provide more news as it comes and coverage of the tournament in the weeks to come.
