Hikaru Shida to make her return to the ring at Ice Ribbon and TJPW events

Hikaru Shida is scheduled to make her return to the ring for the first time in two months on March 19 at a Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling event. She will also be in a match the following day at an Ice Ribbon event. Shida has not wrestled in Japan since 2019 and her last match for the Ice Ribbon promotion was in 2018.

At TJPW’s Grand Princess ’22, Shida will take on Hikari Noa.

Other matches for the event include:

  • Miyu Yamashita (c) vs. Shoko Nakajima – Princess of Princess Championship
  • Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) vs. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe – Princess Tag Championship
  • Maki Itoh (c) vs. Yuki Arai – International Princess Championship

As for Shida’s return to Ice Ribbon, Shida appears in the video below. She is a former four-time International Ribbon Tag Team Champion, three times with Tsukasa Fujimoto and once with Maki Narumiya.

As a former and currently longest-reigning AEW Women’s World Champion, Shida was last seen in AEW during her last encounter with Serena Deeb in January. She was written off programming after an attack by Deeb. She returned to Japan at that time.
