AEW announced a massive women’s tag team match will take place on this coming edition of AEW Dynamite. The match announced is AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida teaming with Tay Conti to take on Nyla Rose and The Bunny, Allie.
The match comes after all four were involved in a brawl on last week’s show. The melee came after Conti defeated Rose in an excellent match. The Native Beast angered by the loss attacked Conti until white suit Shida made the save with a wicked kendo stick strike. The Bunny Allie then joined the fray and the fists went flying.
Shida and Rose have history. Shida defeated the Native Beast to win the AEW Women’s World Championship at Double or Nothing last year. Rosa was then unsuccessful in reclaiming the title Full Gear.
Allie returned to the ring last week with a win over Jasmine Allure on AEW Dark. The Bunny seems to be asserting herself into the title picture with the attack on the champion. Allie’s in-ring career at AEW has been stop-and-start and as one of the division’s first signings, she is yet to find her feet in the promotion.
New challengers are just what Shida needs and as we have seen Shida vs Rosa several times, Allie could be a great addition to the mix.
