In Memoriam: Janet Fragoso Alonso “Miss Janeth”

This past week, on Wednesday December 17th, it was announced that Janet Fragoso Alonso, best known as Miss Janeth, had sadly passed away at the age of 52, with the cause of death still unknown at the time of this writing. The wrestling industry and fans alike paid their condolences and their respect for the latter’s life and her contributions to the mexican wrestling industry.

A former UWA World Women’s Champion and AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Miss Janeth was one of lucha libres biggest rudas (heels) debuting in 1990. winning the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship once in 2006 in a four way match at the finals of the Reina de Reinas Tournament holding the title for 400 days.

Undefeated in Lucha de Apuestas, Miss Janeth was a part of the short-lived stable Las Brujas alongside fellow wrestling icons Tiffany and Rossy Moreno, making quite an impression with the Mexican fanbase in the later part of her career.
