Tonight on TNA Impact, we kick off the quarter-final matches in the TNA Knockouts TV Championship tournament and put tag gold on the line!
Before we start with the action tonight, TNA pays tribute to former TNA Knockout, Tanea Brooks, aka Rebel, who is currently fighting an ongoing battle with ALS.
Indi Hartwell takes on NXT’s Thea Hail in the quarter-finals of the Knockouts TV Championship tournament. These two are very familiar with each other during their time in NXT, but tonight they compete for a spot in the semi-finals to face M By Elegance.
Hail starts feisty, but it gets caught in the ropes as she meets a boot by Hartwell. Hartwell tries to escape Hail’s grip, but Hail plays smart by continuously targeting Hartwell’s arm.
Hail keeps her hold locked in tight, but Hartwell fights back with a Spinebuster. The Crossbody connects by Hail and rolls through to try and bait for her finish, but misses. Hartwell plunges Hail into the corner and hits the Hurts Donut to advance in the tournament.
Gia Miller is backstage with the TNA Knockouts World Champion, Xia Brookside, and looks to get an answer about why she attacked Elayna Black and Wendy Choo last week. Brookside claims that they both wanted to get inside her business, but Wendy Choo appears and wants to call her a coward. Santino Marella sets up a match next week for the Knockouts title between the two, and it looks like Elayna Black has got Choo’s back.
The TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships are on the line tonight as Rosemary and Allie defend their titles against M and Heather By Elegance of the Elegance Brand. However, Allie cannot seem to find Rosemary anywhere. Allie goes to Daria Rae, but Rae tells her that if she doesn’t go out, she loses the title.
One-half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions is ready to go at it alone against the numbers game of The Elegance Brand. Allie’s championship is in deep trouble, but she fights off both M and Heather. She gets into a tug-of-war battle with George Iceman and uses the title to take out everybody, causing a disqualification.
Rae sets up another Knockouts Tag Title match at Lockdown between the same teams, as long as Rosemary shows up. But, she has other plans as she looks to cut Harley Hudson from the roster due to her not winning a match in months.
Next up, Jada Stone takes on Jody Threat in a quarter-finals match of the Knockouts TV Championship tournament. Threat has the experience edge, but Stone looks to prove why she’s “The Spark” in the ring. Stone tries to clothesline Threat out of the ring, but gets caught as she gets slammed right into the apron. The Spark fights through the pain and hits a Split-Legged Moonsault for a two count. Threat catches Stone on the ropes and looks to finish her off until Stone handsprings into a pin to advance.
