With SummerSlam just a little over two weeks away, Judgment Day isn’t going to make it easy on IYO SKY. Or even Sol Ruca for that matter.
On the July 13 episode of Raw, SKY took on Roxanne Perez. She will be facing Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Title at SummerSlam and will have trouble, no doubt, with the Judgment Day until then. Heading into this match, SKY had likely known that the numbers game would be against her. So much so, that Perez and company made her knee a target throughout the match.
The final moments of the match had SKY fighting off both Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez before landing a victory roll on Perez to get the three count and secure the win. A post match attack is signature for Judgment Day and they did not disappoint. However, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Sol Ruca, joined the party and attempted to do her best to help out SKY. This was a helpful hand after SKY helped Ruca retain the title against Rodriguez last week.
The attack became rather brutal as Rodriguez slammed Ruca into the time keeper barricade before landing her spine first in the ring post. This allowed Morgan to hit ObLIVion on SKY before slamming the title belt into her SummerSlam challenger’s face.
Elsewhere on Raw, the new version of Maxxine Dupri in the Vision is in full swing. Last week, she cemented her spot in the group by helping Austin Theory and Bron Breakker win back the tag team titles. This week, the group was interrupted by Dupri’s former faction of Otis and Akira Tozawa. After Tozawa said his concerns, Otis reluctantly confessed his feelings for her. This turned into a mockery by the Vision and despite everything that both Otis and Tozawa could do, the Vision decimated them.
Otis went in for a kiss, lured in by a possibly second guessing Dupri. However, this was just so Theory could land a low blow on Otis. The Vision stood tall as Dupri has prided herself completely in her new heel role.
