Julia Hart Retains On AEW Dynamite; Storm’s Next Defense Set

The November 29 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Julia Hart defend her AEW TBS Championship against Emi Sakura in a match that could not be won by submission.

Hart controlled the pace at first until Sakura chopped her. Sakura then landed a crossbody on Hart against the steps. Sakura hit a backbreaker but then Hart took back over with a sleeper hold and then a headscissors.

Hart applied Hartless, but Sakura’s chosen stipulation prevented her from winning with that. Ultimately, Hart hit a moonsault for the three-count in order to retain.

During a backstage segment with RJ City, Mariah May declared that she is dying to show fans what she can do. She then walked into Tony Khan’s office.

We also briefly heard from AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm as she was recovering from partying too hard over the weekend. RJ City informed Storm that she will have to defend her title next week, but she is not worried. Her opponent remains unknown.

While no matches were announced for this week’s Rampage and Collision, it was confirmed that AEW Revolution will take place on Sunday, March 3, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
