Kairi Sane has taken to her social media to address some speculation. Sane was the most shocking name in the recent WWE releases that took place last Friday. What has fueled questions behind the departure is if she wanted to return to Japan and not renew her contract. This has come about due to a report from Dave Meltzer.
Sane had the following to say:
What I can say is I know there’s been a lot of speculation, but I truly love this work, my teammates, and my fans.
I’ve never walked away, and I’ve given my all in everything I do.

Sane was in the middle of a storyline between Asuka and IYO SKY which had a lot of investment in it from fans when he released occurred. It isn’t fully known if she was released during her contract time or if her contract was not renewed.
