Kali Armstrong is on a quest to collect her next championship. Armstrong was the inaugural WWE Women’s Evolve Champion, but now on NXT she wants gold. Originally wanting the NXT Women’s Title, Kelani Jordan is next for Kendal Grey’s championship.
In fact, a tag team match took place on the Aug. 18 episode of NXT. The bout had Armstrong and Jordan taking on Grey and Wren Sinclair. The final moments of the match saw Jordan take out Grey on the outside. Grey hit her injured ear again on the steel steps. Sinclair being left alone, found herself in trouble. Armstrong hit the Kali Connection to get the win as she pinned the Women’s Speed Champion.
Now, later in the night, Armstrong had words with Zaria in Robert Stone’s office. He agreed to have her face Zaria next week. If she is able to defeat her, then she would have pinned both the NXT Women’s North American Champion and the WWE Women’s Speed Champion. She will then be placed into the title unification match at Heatwave.
Elsewhere on NXT, Nattie took on Thea Hail. Her feud with Jaida Parker isn’t over and the best way to get to Parker is by making Hail suffer. Nattie won the match by submission with the Sharpshooter, but she wasn’t done there. Her faction which includes Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons held back Parker and forced her to watch as Nattie continued to hold in a Sharpshooter on Hail.
