Kelani Jordan is finally getting her NXT Women’s Title Match. She will be facing the champion, Kendal Grey at Heatwave on Aug. 30, a date that Jordan chose.
On the Aug. 11 episode of NXT, Kali Armstrong took to the ring to throw her name into the NXT Women’s Title discussion. She was joined by Jordan, who as we know, has never had a shot at the top gold in NXT.
Shortly after, Grey and WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair joined Jordan and Armstrong in the ring. Grey essentially said she was tired of hearing Jordan complain about not getting a title shot. So she went to Robert Stone to get a contract for Jordan to sign as the number one contended.
A brawl broke out as Armstrong hit Grey in the face. Armstrong wasn’t happy by being told she can get a title shot after Jordan.
Zaria remains the NXT Women’s North American Champion. She defeated Sinclair who earned a shot at the title after the time ran out in her speed match last week against Zaria. This left Sinclair still as champion
Zaria retains off of an F-5 after Sinclair was distracted by the men’s roster fighting from the backstage area made it into the ring.
Shawn Spears did not appear to tag with Lizzy Rain to take on The Culling. But EK Prosper filled in. Prosper pinned Niko Vance for the win for himself and Rain.
