Kris Statlander is now one of four women who could win the Owen Hart Cup.
On the May 20 episode of AEW Rampage, Statlander defeated Red Velvet to move on to the semi-finals. She will meet Ruby Soho in a match set for next Friday’s Rampage on May 27. It will be at a special start time once again at 5:30 PM ET.
The final moments of the match had Red Velvet go for a roundhouse kick that was caught by Statlander. After a lariat took down Velvet, Statlander attempted to go for her Big Bang Theory finisher but Velvet rolled through for a near fall. Statlander rolled her back to get the pin.
After the match, Kiera Hogan and Velvet attacked Statlander before Ruby Soho came down to make the save. The brawl continued as the TBS Champion Jade Cargill came down to help the Baddies and regain the numbers. Anna Jay came out to run off Cargill/Velvet/Hogan.
The other semi-finals match which will take place on the May 25 episode of Dynamite will be Dr. Britt Baker vs. Toni Storm.
The finals take place at Double or Nothing on May 29.
