Kylie Rae speaks out on her exit from AEW

AEW launched in May of this year with their huge Double or Nothing pay-per-view which was the start of an “alternative” option to WWE. As a part of this exciting new option for wrestling fans was a promise of a stellar women’s division and Kylie Rae was a shining ray of sunshine within that promise.

Sadly though, after her Four-Way match at Double or Nothing, Rae wouldn’t step back into an AEW ring. She was advertised for their next event Fyter Fest but was replaced by Allie. Subsequently, the fans were informed by Tony Khan after the All Out that Rae asked for a release and it was granted amicably.

This answer didn’t satisfy many fans who continued to want to pry in knowing further reasons on what prompted Rae to leave. Perhaps Rae deleting her social media was a reason why many fans showed their concerns which fueled many rumors. One of which was if Rae was retired from wrestling.

She would reemerge however to her indie roots and even have a couple of matches within IMPACT at their Bound For Glory weekend.

A common rumor that was forcefully making its rounds was that Brandi Rhodes bullied Rae out of AEW. Rhodes would put this to rest by answering this on Twitter which she denied and said if it was true then it would have been made public by now.

Rae returned to social media last month and today she has commented on her release from AEW and how no one made her leave. She just wants everyone to succeed.

Hopefully, now that Rae has broken her silence on the matter as a whole the wrestling community can move on and allow her to continue to do what makes her happy.
