It’s a special night on this edition of AEW Dynamite as it’s Title Tuesday, and we’re back at Daily’s Place for an AEW Homecoming.
Renee Paquette lays down the stats for the AEW Women’s World Championship match at Wrestle Dream as the champion, Kris Statlander, defends her title against the former champion “Timeless” Toni Storm.
However, after last week’s attack on Collision, the two opponents will have to team up alongside Harley Cameron to take on the Triangle of Madness.
Last week, “The CEO” Mercedes Moné declared an open challenge for her TBS Championship, and she wants to face a Florida local as she has yet to wrestle at Daily’s Place.
The woman to answer the challenge is Lacey Lane.
Lane has an impressive showing, taking it to “The CEO” as she gets overwhelmed on the canvas. She catches Moné on the ropes and almost gets the win until Moné gets her foot on the ropes.
Moné gains back control of the match and hits the Three Amigos. As she goes to the top rope, she attempts to hit the Frog Splash, but Lane seems to be a step ahead of her. Lane lays out Moné twice, but Moné kicks out each time.
The two fight for the pin, but Moné catches Lane in the Moné Maker and retains her TBS title. Moné is now just 10 days away from becoming the longest-reigning TBS Champion of all time, a record Jade still holds at 508 days.
Willow Nightingale is set to team up with Jetspeed against Megan Bayne and FTR on Collision this Saturday. Despite the numbers game the opposing team is playing, this team is ready to take them on.
The opposing team responds, and said smiles and positivity won’t take them too far.
What did you think about tonight’s AEW Dynamite? How did Lane’s AEW Dynamite debut fare? Is Moné on track to break the record? What’s in store for us on Collision? Let us know in the comments!
