Bianca Belair has almost been out of action for an entire year.
Bianca Belair suffered a finger/knuckle injury during the Triple Threat match for the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41 last April. Although she has remained positive publicly, her recovery has reportedly been a “nightmare.” Many fans anticipated her return at last month’s Royal Rumble, with some even expecting her to win the match, but that ultimately did not happen.
In a report originally by Self Made, Belair is expected to play a role in this year’s WrestleMania 42. BodySlam+ later confirmed Self Made’s report, stating that Belair will indeed be involved in the event in some capacity.
“A source indicated that Belair is currently on a list internally with a tag that has no return date designated,” BodySlam wrote in their report.
“Another source indicated… that the rehab and recovery process for Belair has been rough and they have never seen anything like it. There have been a lot of complications, but Belair is said to have kept a positive mindset throughout this entire ordeal.”
Since suffering the injury, Belair has still made a few WWE appearances, including serving as the special referee for the Naomi vs. Jade Cargill No Holds Barred match at Evolution last July.
