Liv Morgan On Triple H Being Head Of Creative – “We’re in great hands”

The SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan gives her optimism of Triple H who is now in control of creative. A lot of changes have happened over the course of a week with Vince McMahon announcing his retirement, Stephanie McMahon becoming Co-CEO with Nick Khan, and Triple H taking back his EVP position of Talent Relations. Added to this is Triple H being in charge of creative as a whole for WWE.

In an interview with Mirror with Narin Flanders, Morgan’s response of the announcement of Triple H’s role now within in the company was – “We’re excited. We’re in great hands.”

She continues,

“We were all shocked. And it felt sudden. But we all owe so much to Vince. So if he felt like it was time, then it was time. We’re also excited to be working with Stephanie and Nick [Khan, the other co-CEO). Stephanie was born into this business, so there’s literally no one better for the job than her.

“We’re all so excited and we’re just ready to go to work. We’re all just ready to take it to the next level.”

Morgan is in her first reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion and her first taste of gold in WWE within her already eight-year career. She adds the following to the interview about how she has felt since winning the gold at Money in the Bank earlier this month.

“The response from the fans and seeing how excited and happy they were just meant so much to me. I really wanted to give them something to believe in and I feel like throughout my career sometimes the fans believed in me so much when I felt like I wasn’t giving them anything to believe in. So I really wanted to do that for them.

“My first ever accolade, my first ever big win. So it was just incredible.”

Morgan is set to defend her championship for the first time off of the woman she defeated for it – Ronda Rousey, this Saturday, July 30 at SummerSlam. Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to get this win after a grueling match Rousey had with Natalya. Now that Rousey will be 100% will Morgan be able to prove her win wasn’t a fluke?

Check back in with Diva Dirt this Saturday for a SummerSlam discussion post where Bianca Belair will also defend her Raw Women’s Title against long-standing rival Becky Lynch.
