Liv Morgan may have survived her first 100 days as champion being able to dodge defending it, but that all ended at SummerSlam when she faced IYO SKY. The self declared best champion of alllll time was able to get a win over SKY and successfully retain her title. Going the next 100 days without defending the title however, doesn’t seem likely.
On the August 3 episode of Raw, Morgan along with her Judgement Day comrades Roxanne Perez and the Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodríguez graced the fans with their presence. Morgan said she doesn’t see any next challenge for her, so she will not all be the best champion of all time, but she will also be the longest reigning women’s world champion of all time.
Cue the return of Becky Lynch. Lynch has not been on WWE programming for nearly two months. Lynch makes her way into the ring. She says she isn’t here for the Women’s IC Title as she has already made that famous, she is here for the Women’s World Title and Morgan. She adds that she is here to make sure that Morgan doesn’t go another 100 days without defending it. The two former foes traded verbal assaults back and forth with Morgan telling Lynch she should be home being a mother instead of in the ring.
Eventually, the Judgment Day made their way out of the ring and up the ramp, but not without a few more words from Lynch. She said that Morgan isn’t even the greatest champion in the Judgment Day or the greatest champion to ever sleep with Dominik Mysterio.
As Judgment Day made it to the top of the ramp onto the stage, Stephanie Vauqer’s music hit as La Primera is back. She has not been on WWE programming since she lost the title to Morgan back at WrestleMania. Vaquer took on Judgment Day three on one as Lynch sat by on the top turnbuckle and watched. After clearing the ring, Vaquer and Lynch had a stare down moment where Vaquer and Lynch exchanged a few words.
Roxanne Perez did take on Sol Ruca before Lynch made her way out to the ring. The match ended in a DQ as Morgan was caught knocking Ruca off of the top ropes.
There was an interview with Lyra Valkyria, that happened during the commercial break. She is coming for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
