Mara Sadé and Heather By Elegance Advance in KO TV Tournament; KO Title Rematch Next Week

With Slammiversary just behind us, we begin the TNA Knockouts TV Championship tournament tonight on TNA Impact!

To kick off the 16-woman bracket, Mara Sadé and Tasha Steelz will face off one-on-one. Steelz makes it clear that she is the “greatest that beat the greatest,” and Sadé will have to answer to her.

Steelz locks in a Crossface on Sadé, but builds some leverage to reverse into a pin. Sadé is in trouble, but lands a Superkick onto Steelz. She heads up to the top rope, but is caught up on the ropes by Steelz. Unfortunately for Steelz, she miscues and hits her head on the turnbuckle. This allows Sadé to hit a Moonsault and advance to the second round.

Next in the tournament, The Elegance Brand’s Heather By Elegance will be taking on one-half of the new TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Allie. These two have some unfinished business, as the Demon Bunnies took the titles away from The Elegance Brand at Slammiversary. That being said, Heather takes a quick shot at Allie as the bell rings.

Allie begins to fight back at Heather and manages to get a necklock in on the corner ropes. M By Elegance tries to get involved, but Rosemary puts a stop to it. With both competitors on the top rope, Heather By Elegance drops Allie to advance in the tournament.

Finally, the new TNA Knockouts World Champion, Xia Brookside, has a lot to say after her first major title win at Slammiversary. Brookside claims that she’s escaped the shadow of Lei Ying Lee and that she’s proved everyone wrong. She warns the Knockouts division that what happened to Lee will happen to them right back.

Lee comes out and says that she’s happy for Brookside. She says she doesn’t see a champion, but sees a “fake bitch.” The former champion will get her title rematch next week on TNA Impact, but wants to make it a No Disqualification Match.

What did you think of tonight’s TNA Impact? Who are you hoping to see advance next in the tournament? Can Brookside prove her words next week? Let us know in the comments below!
