Marie Malenko, daughter of former WCW and WWF star Dean Malenko, has had her debut match in Marigold. Not only was this her debut in Marigold, but this was Makenko’s first singles match of her professional career. She went to a 15 minute time limit draw against Seri Yamaoka.
Malenko’s first official match overall was a tag team match for NOAH on Feb. 2. She will be facing Rea Seto on Feb. 8 at another Marigold event.
Her response post match, “Today was my first singles match (as a wrestler). Not just in Japan, but anywhere. Seli, you fought well. You were tough. But this is just the beginning. It was still just the first match, but I’ll definitely be back.
You gave it everything you had, and I gave it everything I had too. It was a draw, but let’s see who the true winner will be next time.”
