Maxxine Dupri is taking another swing at the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
The last time these two met, Lynch defeated Dupri. Dupri was a bit hesitant last time as Lynch chose her over facing Natalya first after Natalya stood up for Nikki Bella. This time, Dupri is ready to go. She asked Adam Pearce last week for a match and this week she had a confrontation with Lynch. This made it quite easy for Dupri to want to go up against the GOAT.
Dupri was backstage with Akira Tozawa when Lynch approached them. Lynch calls Maxxine a loser and she is 5 foot 9 of failure. Lynch says everyone calls her the GOAT, but Dupri reminds her that AJ Lee doesn’t. This led to Tozawa giggling so Lynch knocked him out. Then as Maxxine was trying to assist him, Lynch attacked her.
They officially have a match set for next week. It is currently a non-title match. CM Punk is announced for next week which means AJ will likely appear.
Ahead of their match at Crown Jewel, the WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton made an appearance on Raw. As Stephanie Vaquer was chatting about their upcoming match backstage, Stratton interrupted. She let Vaquer know that she has been champ for 268 days and she isn’t going to lose to someone who has been on top for only two weeks.
Bayley took on Raquel Rodriguez this week. Rodriguez continues to win in singles matches as she not only defeated Lyra Valkyria several weeks ago, she took home the W against Bayley this week.
Prior to the match, Bayley ran into Valkyria backstage. Valkyria did not want to come to ringside just to be pushed down as she was last week. So she did not join Bayley at ringside. However, post match, Valkyria did come down for the save. Unlike the prior week where Bayley went after Valkyria, she thanked her this week and celebrated the help.
Valkyria will take on Roxanne Perez again next week. Valkyria took a win from Perez last time they met in the ring.
