Tonight’s AEW Dynamite is set in Sin City itself, Las Vegas, as the action heats up heading toward AEW Grand Slam Australia.
At Grand Slam Australia, “Timeless” Toni Storm will team up with Orange Cassidy to take on the likes of The Death Riders’ Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta in a Mixed Tornado Tag Team Hair Match. But tonight, they are in action against Jordan Oasis and Brittnie Brooks.
After doing their dance, along with a victory, they begin to regret their stipulation match and placing that bet in the first place. Storm says that Cassidy will give Yuta a cute comb over and make Shafir look like Jon Moxley.
Renee Paquette is backstage with AEW Women’s World Champion, Kris Statlander, who accepts Thekla’s title rematch, as long as Statlander can pick the stipulation and keep them away from the next contest. Statlander hasn’t decided the stipulation yet, but is ready to do anything to get The Triangle of Madness off their back.
The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, The Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, will take on Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford in an Eliminator Match. Bayne and Ford dub themselves Megabad and look to prove they’re worthy of the titles, and an end to the Babes of Wrath and their reign.
Bayne and Nightingale look to set off, but Ford attacks Nightingale with a cheap shot from behind. Nightingale uses her strength to fight through those games and get the advantage over Ford with some tag team action. Bayne takes over and hits a hurricanrana from the top rope and lands a Tope Suicida onto Nightingale to the outside.
Nightingale is in trouble, but finds her opening by unleashing a Pounce on Bayne. Cameron gets the hot tag in and takes it to Ford. Bayne gets caught up on the top rope, and the Babes of Wrath hit a Superplex. Ford follows up with a Blockbuster on both of them.
Megabad takes out Nightingale, which leaves Cameron in the ring by herself. Bayne sets up Cameron on her shoulders, and this allows Ford to hit The Doomsday Device to pick up the win. Megabad now has a shot at the tag team titles at Grand Slam Australia.
