Red Velvet is once again the ROH Women’s TV Champion as she defeated Mercedes Moné at ROH’s Final Battle on Friday night.
Velvet went into the match as the former champion, after losing the title officially to Moné on AEW Collision just 16 days ago in November. At that time, that was an undisputed/unification match as Moné was the Interim champion during Velvet’s time out with injury.
The final moments of this match at Final Battle left The CEO shocked! Moné had Velvet locked into the Statement Maker submission. Velvet used the ropes to bounce out of the submission and into a pin on Moné that secured her the win and made her a two-time champion. Velvet becomes the first woman to officially win the belt twice.
