Mercedes Moné is currently known as “eight belts Moné” as the talent is the current TBS Champion in AEW and multiple titles throughout the indies. She’s looking to grab her ninth belt Friday in a match against Emersyn Jayne.
While on an Instagram Live together, Bayley and Moné talk about getting another match together. Although we know the WWE/AEW rivalry will never allow them to fight for the TBS Title, maybe one of her indie titles could be on the line? Or just at some point they can share the ring again, but hopefully not waiting for 10 years!
Mone: “I’m going for title number nine tonight.”
Bayley: “I just want one.”
Mone: “You just want one?”
Bayley: “I just want one, dude.”
Mone: “Come face me then, dude. Give the people what they want, one more match.”
Mone: “So, what do you think about one more match?”
Bayley: “It depends what title is on the line. We’ll see.”
Mone: “I have a lot.”
Bayley: “How long would it be in? Ten years or five years or three years or one year?”
Mone: “Ten years seems a little too long, I can’t imagine not wrestling you for ten years.”
Bayley: “Mama’s getting old.”
Mone: “If I wrestled you when you were 50, I think I’d love that. It wouldn’t even be a match, it’d just be a haha.”
Bayley and Moné last shared the ring in February 2021. Bayley teamed with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler as they faced Moné, Bianca Belair, and Reginald on an episode of SmackDown. Moné is set to defend her TBS Title against Alex Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla in a Four Way at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
