Mercedes Varnado (Sasha Banks) To Appear At Chicago Meet & Greet

Mercedes Varnado (Sasha Banks) has her first public appearance since May set as she will appear for a meet & greet at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) 2022. The event lists her with her real name and “Sasha Banks” & The Mandalorian. WWE is not listed in the promotional photo.

Banks’ current status with WWE hasn’t officially been confirmed by either WWE or herself. She was suspended indefinitely along with Naomi in May after leaving prior to a Raw event.

PWInsider stated that both were removed from the internal roster within the past 24 hours on July 7. Fightful followed up that report that states that they were removed from the internal roster but were told it had been “weeks ago” since they were removed. Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. stated that Banks was released on June 15 but no word on if it was by her request. There was no word on Naomi from Giri.
