Mia Yim Makes Her IMPACT Return At Under Siege

Mia Yim is back in IMPACT!

Yim made her return to IMPACT Wrestling during Under Siege on Saturday night. She made an appearance after the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship match between Taya Valkyrie and Deonna Purrazzo.

Purrazzo is no longer a Champ Champ as she first dropped the AAA title to Valkyrie and more recently the ROH Women’s Title to Mercedes Martinez. The Virtuosa spent the first quarter of the year as a double champion and at tonight’s event, she had her eyes set on gaining one of them back.

Considered a rubber match between the two, Purrazzo attempted to cheat by using the AAA Reina de Reinas belt as a weapon. Valkyrie had kicked out of the Queen’s Gambit which sent Purrazzo into a frenzy as she attempted to do everything necessary to win. The referee caught Purrazzo with the belt in her hand which allowed Valkyrie to stack her up to retain.

After the match, Purrazzo used the belt to attack Valkyrie and locked in the Venus di Milo and refused to let go. The lights went out and Yim appeared on stage. She came down to the ring to get in the face of Purrazzo and make the save for Valkyrie.

Yim is a former Knockouts Champion prior to signing with WWE in 2018 where she worked on the NXT brand until she was let go in 2021. Since then, Yim has been selective in returning to the ring. She faced Athena in March at a WrestleCon event getting a victory in that exchange.

According to a new report by Fightful Select, this return for Yim is not a one-off. She is reportedly signed with IMPACT and is officially a Knockout once again.
